PRIDE started with the queer community standing up to police harassment and many of us feel uncomfortable celebrating, volunteering or even coming to the event with the police presence. If this matters to you we would love to add your voice to ours as we advocate to find alternative ways to create a safe environment for everyone to celebrate.
